SF

Since MonkeyDaddy had some train tickets left, we decided to take Monkey, minus her sister, to San Francisco today. The train ride was quite pleasant. Monkey was watching movies on the tablet. When we got to the city, we walked around and stopped by stores that interested any of the family members. Monkey scored a pink spotted dolphin, enjoyed good food, and soaked in undivided attention of her parents.

We got home. Monkey overheard her mom asking her sister if she would like to sleep with her that night. She made a comment to her mom, "I think you care about her more than me."

"Why do you say that?"

"Well, you asked her if she could sleep with you."

"That is because I didn't get to spend time with her today. You went to San Francisco with us, but not her."

"Well, she [broke the rule that make her to stay home] last night!"

It looks like from Monkey's point of view, if you broke the rule, you would get punished lasting 24+ hours. Not only her sister wasn't allowed to go to SF, she would not be able to make up Mommy time later either. Pretty hardcore.
