Viking Baby

I must confess... I rather enjoy without having her around. I managed to sleep half the weekend away; it was the first time in years. The sick parent is not so lucky; he couldn't get a good sleep.

We went shopping for a Christmas tree and some goodies for Katy. I think we are almost ready for Christmas. I know I know, Thanksgiving is not here yet, but you have to use any minutes when the little girl is not around. We went to Best Buy to look at some latest cool gadgets. One of the staff there spent a long time explaining to us how a prepaid cell phone plan is good for kids because they can't exceed minutes. I was just surprised that we looked so old that people think our kid is old enough to use a cell phone.

Update: Well, we just spoke to Katy's grandparents in SoCal and were told that Katy was increasingly unhappy. Yesterday they took her to the church, she was happy because she thought she was going home. When she realized it was not the case, she threw a fit. Katy has also been asking for her mama. Okay, now I feel bad about enjoying time off without her. Probably one week is long enough for her at this age.
